In a similar vein to 2023’s ‘Priscilla’, ‘Midas Man’ doesn’t use the Beatles’ music as they couldn’t get the rights, but instead used other songs that they were able to get the rights to or that were already in the public domain.
However, I enjoyed the film to the end
Sam Mendes’ upcoming Beatles biopic will most likely include Beatles songs.
Interestingly, the Beatles are more of a background/supporting character, rather than a scene we’ve already seen
It’s a more sedate film compared to other biopics, but Brian seems to be behind the scenes compared to the Beatles.
Having never known the story of Brian Epstein before, I am so glad that his story is being told and that the extraordinary man he was is being honored
Jacob Fortune-Lloyd is excellent in this and I thought the actors playing the Beatles really captured their essence, although perhaps not as much as Ringo, but that might just be because he least resembles his character.
